Dispatch is a warehouse app for picking and packing orders, made by Brainbean Technolabs OPC Private Limited (“we”, “us”). It connects to the ERP system of the company you work for. This policy explains what the app handles, where that information goes, and what stays on your device.
In short
- No ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- Your login and your company’s order data go only to your company’s ERP server.
- Saved orders and sign-in tokens are deleted from your device when you sign out.
- The camera is used only to scan barcodes. No photos or videos are saved or sent.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Your company runs the ERP that Dispatch connects to, and decides how the order and account data on it is used, under its own privacy policy. For questions about that data, or to have your account closed, contact your company’s ERP administrator.
We are responsible for the app itself. If we also host or maintain your company’s ERP, we handle that data on your company’s behalf, under our agreement with your company.
2. Information the app handles
Signing in
To sign in, you enter your ERP address, username and password. The app sends them over an encrypted HTTPS connection to that ERP only. Your password is never stored on the device.
Your ERP answers with sign-in tokens and your profile (your name, username and, if your ERP has one on file, your email address). The app keeps these in your device’s secure storage (the iOS Keychain or Android’s encrypted storage) so you stay signed in.
If you turn on Remember this device, the app also keeps your ERP address and username on the device to fill in the sign-in screen next time.
Orders and warehouse work
The app loads orders from your ERP: invoice numbers, customer names and delivery locations, products and their photos, quantities, bin locations, box numbers and, if your ERP tracks it, payment status. The work you do in the app (items picked or packed, edited quantities, orders moved or shipped) is sent back to your ERP, together with your account.
Working offline
So you can keep working without a connection, the app saves recently loaded orders and any changes not yet sent in a database on your device, and keeps product photos in a cache. It also keeps a sync history of up to 500 recent entries, such as which order’s changes were sent or refused, so you can see what happened.
Camera
With your permission, the app uses the camera to read barcodes on items, bins and packages. The camera image is processed on the device to read the code. No photos or videos are saved or sent anywhere. You can type codes instead, and you can turn camera access off at any time in your device’s settings.
Network status
The app checks whether your device is online, to know when to send changes waiting on the device. It does not use your location.
3. App updates
Dispatch uses Shorebird, a code-update service, to deliver fixes quickly. When the app opens, it asks Shorebird’s servers whether an update is available, sending technical details needed to choose the right update, such as the app’s identifier and version and the device’s platform and processor type. Like any internet request, this reveals your device’s IP address to those servers. These requests never include your login, your name or any order data. Shorebird’s own privacy policy is published at shorebird.dev.
4. What we don’t do
- We don’t show ads, and the app contains no advertising or analytics tools.
- We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising.
- The app doesn’t access your location, contacts, photo library or microphone.
5. Who information is shared with
The app sends information only to:
- the ERP server you sign in to, and whoever operates it for your company;
- Shorebird, only the technical details described in section 3.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
6. How long information is kept, and deleting it
- Signing out deletes your sign-in tokens, your profile, saved orders and any changes not yet sent from the device. If Remember this device is on, your ERP address and username stay so you can sign in again; turn it off to remove them too.
- The sync history stays on the device until newer entries replace it or you delete the app.
- Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.
- Data on your company’s ERP is kept as your company decides. Your account is created by your company’s ERP administrator, not in the app, so ask them to close it or delete your data. You can also write to us and we will help you reach the right person.
7. Security
The app connects only over HTTPS and refuses unencrypted addresses. Sign-in tokens are kept in the device’s secure storage. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we work to protect the information the app handles.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to withdraw your consent. Because that data is held on your company’s ERP, send those requests to your company. For anything about the app itself, contact us at the address below.
9. Children
Dispatch is a workplace tool and isn’t intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Demo mode
Signing in with the demo address given to App Review opens sample orders stored on the device. In demo mode, nothing is sent to any server, and none of the data is real.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
